Clomid (Clomiphene) for OvulationClomid or clomiphene is a medication that has been around since the 1960s. It can be used to help you ovulate if you have irregular periods.

This medicine is well-tolerated and common side effects include hot flashes, breast tenderness, abdominal pain and nausea.

You are at a slightly increased risk of having twins (approximately 7-10%). It may take up a few cycles to actually achieve pregnancy; you will need to have blood tests regularly throughout your cycles to monitor its effects. The blood test is a Progesterone level done on around cycle day number 21 and tell us whether or not ovulation occurred.
