Drs. Sigman, Napier, Heintges, Harms and Reyes assure patients: Everyone’s health is No. 1 concern.

UPDATE APRIL 21, 2020: All patients are required to wear masks in the office as mandated by the Dallas County judge.

To all AWH patients,

During these uncertain times, we want all of our patients to hear from us that we are doing everything we can to ensure that our office remains open, while maintaining safe spaces for not only ourselves and our staff, but for all of our patients – specifically our obstetrical patients.

Like so many around the world, we too are feeling the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic and would like to offer some solutions to our patients who aren’t able to make it to their appointments.

In the coming weeks, we may be shifting appointment types and times, and will most likely implement the
use of video-consulting to help bridge the gap for our women in need of prescription refills, those that want to discuss lab results, or to consult on other medical questions/concerns.

Our primary goal at this time is to maintain a disinfected and safe workplace/medical practice, screen all of our patients and insist that those with COVID-19 symptoms stay home. We strongly agree with the measures put forth regarding social distancing, small crowds and pre-screening all patients for possible exposure. We have implemented a ‘patient only’ policy and are keeping our waiting room numbers as low as possible – escorting patients into exam rooms as quickly as we can upon their arrival.

If you are not experiencing any of the COVID-19 symptoms, and wish to keep your appointments with us, you are welcome to do so. However, please inform us if you’d like to cancel and/or reschedule your appointment, so we can make the necessary adjustments in our schedules to accommodate other patients.

Again, until further notice, our practice will remain open to treat all of our patients. We ask that you follow all precautions and if you answer yes to any of the questions below, call us to cancel and reschedule your appointments. If you are pregnant, you should reach out to your doctor with any questions, concerns, etc.

COVID-19 Screening Questions:

  1. Do you have a fever and respiratory symptoms like cough or shortness of breath?
  2. Have you had close contact with a person infected with COVID-19?
  3. Have you traveled to any of the affected areas in the past three weeks?

We truly appreciate everyone’s cooperation and patience during this time. To stay updated with our future changes, please be sure you have activated your portal account for any emails and messages, you’re visiting our website for postings and you’re visiting our social media platforms for the latest information.

Everyone’s health is our No. 1 concern.

Thank you,

Drs. Sigman, Napier, Heintges, Harms & Reyes
